Has anyone had their cholesterol level increase as a result of quitting smoking? - vldl cholesterol

My level of HDL-cholesterol and triglyceride levels (up to 151 points) increased dramatically after quitting. Now I'm on Zocor, lower values. Has anyone else experienced?

Also won 25 pounds. He now works for "Lost And Found it harder to get rid of it before.

Hello,
Congratulations to leave, I can not tell you how happy that someone is listening in medicine itself.
It is not uncommon for people to gain weight after quitting for various reasons. I found that many patients sandwiches and increase the absorption of calories when they used in the process of smoking cessation, oral fixation, to settle for a cigarette. If that what appears in your case, that also have elevated cholesterol levels.
See if your diet is no different today than it was when you were smoking, and to ensure that it is cutting back on red meat, fatty foods and foods high in salt - all lifted from their weight and cholesterol.
Good luck!
